MuSool Academy Closed Monday, May 25th.

Monday, May 25th MuSool Academy will be closed due to the Memorial Day Holiday. Have a safe and dry weekend.

MuSool Academy holds Color Belt Testing.

MuSool Academy Port Orange held a color belt testing on Saturday, May 16th. Students from MuSool Academy Jacksonville also tested for their next belt.

Jason Midyette will be the newest member of the MuSool Black Belt Board


MuSool Black Belt Jason Midyette was asked to join the Board as an alternate on Saturday, May 16th, 2009. As an alternate Mr. Midyette will not have a vote unless one of the other Board members does not show up or in case of a tie on the Board. As soon as a spot opens up on the Board, Mr. Midyette will take that spot. Each MuSool Academy’s are allowed five Black Belts on the Board. MuSool Port Orange already meets that requirement.

Testing Outline for Saturday

The MuSool Black Belts have handed out all the testing permission forms for this weekend’s color belt testing and black belt check. There will be a MuSool Black Belt Meeting prior to the start of the testing. MuSool Black Belt Brian Stanton of Jacksonville will be bringing his students to test as well. MuSool Black Belt John Combs will also make the trip down from Orange Park FL to the testing. Here is a schedule for this Saturday’s events:

830am: School opens for HapKiDo Practice
9:00am: HapKiDo Testing
10:00am: Open practice for TaeKwonDo
10:30am: TaeKwonDo Testing

Color Belts below Green will be excused as soon as their testing is finished. Lower belts are welcome to stay and watch the high belts finish their testing. Good luck to everyone up for promotion.

Florida TaeKwonDo Games Early Registration Ends May 16th.


This is the last week to “early register” for MuSool Academy’s Florida TaeKwonDo Games. The tournament is scheduled for May 30th at the Port Orange Gym. You can Register at www.musool.org.


There will be a board breaking competition as well for those students that want to give that a chance. If you are interested in the Board Breaking, please give Master Creech a call.

Testing Permission Slips to be Handed Out This Week.


MuSool Academy Port Orange will be handing out “Permission to Test” applications for this Saturday’s Belt Testing and MuSool Black Belt Check. The Testing will start at 9am for the HapKiDo Candidates and will continue at 1030am with the TaeKwonDo Test.
A MuSool Black Belt Board Meeting is scheduled for the weekend as well. Master’s Brian Stanton and John Combs are scheduled to be in attendance.
