MuSool Academy Holds Color Belt Testing.


MuSool Academy will be hosting a color belt test for Taekwondo and Hapkido on March 27th at 10am. Students that wish to test need to obtain their testing requirements from their instructor. The MuSool Black Belts will be handing out permission forms in mid-March for the testing. Testing cost are $55.00 for low belt testing and $65.00 for high belts.

MuSool Academy to Host a Free Sport Taekwondo Training


MuSool Academy will be offering a free training for sport taekwondo on April 3rd. There will be two sessons. Sesson one will be from 9am to 11am and will cover training and sparring techniques. The second sesson will be from 1pm to 230pm and will cover sparring. Please RSVP this free event because space is limited.

Grandmaster Ron Berry to host a Traditional Hapkido Seminar at MuSool Academy


Hapkido Grandmaster Ron Berry will be conducting a seminar in traditional hapkido and knife fighting techniques. Grandmaster Berry is Master’s Shelby Creech and Brian Stanton’s instructor and is the student of Grandmaster J. Won Park. Grandmaster J. Park was the student of Choi, Young Sool (the founder of Hapkido). The cost is only $25.00. Space will be limited, please RSVP this event.

MuSool Academy wants to expand its competition team. The MuSool TaeKwonDo Competition Team travels all over the country and the world playing in national and international championships. This year, both the AAU and USAT Taekwondo Nationals will be held in Florida. This gives students, 8 years old and older, at MuSool Academy the unique opportunity to compete on the national level without having to leave the State of Florida.

In the month of March, MuSool students that want to tryout the team will be welcomed to the practices. Practice is held Monday and Wednesday’s at 630pm, Friday’s at 530pm and Saturday’s at 1030am. Students will need running shoes, training clothes, and sparring gear. If sparring gear is needed to be ordered please contact Shelby Creech at creech@musool.org.

MuSool Student Tara Kist Graduates Police Academy

MuSool Hapkido student Tara Kist graduated from the Daytona State College Law Enforcement Academy on Tuesday February 23rd.

Kist is a beginner in Hapkido but holds a black belt in Taekwondo and competed under Jeff Miller on the National Level. MuSool Academy wishes you luck as a police officer.

This Friday is the Deadline for FastKicks Friendship Open


Deadline to fight at the FastKicks Friendship Open is fast approaching. The registration fee of $40.00 must be in by February 19th. Every competitor will receive a T-Shirt and a Trophy. This tournament is a great first tournament for beginners and the Black Belt Division will be a round robin so they can get some fight time in.

MuSool Academy Welcomes 8 New Students

MuSool Academy signed up 8 new students in the month of January. We would like to welcome the following students to the TaeKwonDo Program:

David Field, Nykea Ross, Jenness Underhill, Aubrey Wicksell, and Evan Wilcox.

The HapKiDo Program welcomes Steve Johnston, Tare Kist and Keith Morris.

MuSool Student Test for Next Rank


MuSool Academy has another successful color belt testing Saturday January, 30th. Students from the HapKiDo and the TaeKwonDo program tested.

MuSool TaeKwonDo Black Belt Leila Klemm earned her High Yellow Belt in HapKiDo.

In TaeKwonDo; David Field, Luke Henderson, Vianne Zhang, and Devin Taylor all received their Yellow Belts. Hanna Ward, Jordan Lunt, and Nickolas Lunt were promoted to High Yellow Belts. Bailey Creech and Sammy Babiezwon their High Orange Belts. Aaron Creech, JR earned his Green Belt. Tippy Pack Brown was tested and earned her Blue Belt. Finally, Isabelle Kiester was promoted to Deputy Black Belt.

Congratulations to everyone that tested.

Are you ready for the Third and Best NINJA NIGHT?


MuSool Academy has held two very successful Ninja Nights so far. All the kids really enjoyed the events and asked for another chance to do the Ninja Night. The event was full of games, food and fun!

This Ninja Night is going to be Friday, February 13th from 6pm to 10pm. The cost will be $20.00 and that will cover all food and crafts. This Ninja Night the kids will be making their own sock Ninja’s.

MuSool Academy to host another free HapKiDo Self-Defese Class


MuSool Academy Port Orange will offer a free MuSool HapKiDo class on Saturday, February 13th at 9am. This class is open to men and women ages 14 and older. The class will be instructed by 4th degree black belt Shelby Creech and will cover several aspects of street defense.

No martial arts experience is needed.

MuSool Students Win at Sun Coast Festival

23.

Jason Midyette Placed second in Adult Electronic Chest Guard Division

Shelby Creech, Chuck Moore, Jackie Lauricella and Jason Midyette were also referees for the event.
